Scope and Contents From the Collection: The Sharon Berkowitz Portrait Collection consists of materials related to the donor and photographer's portraiture project on Holocaust survivors in Denver. Included in the collection are seventeen large scale mounted photographic prints used for exhibition at the Denver City and County Building in May 1997 and accompanying labels. Abstract

Folder contains copies of transcribed letters from 1942-1947. Correspondence was saved by donor’s father, Max Stoll, and contains letters from family members in Germany and Theresienstadt. Collection also contains a poem written by the donor’s aunt, Thekla Stoll titled Encounter. The same poem was saved by Maria Lowenstein and is in the Lowenstein collection, B333.
